Privacy Policy
At PatiSOS, we value your privacy. This policy explains how the PatiSOS mobile application collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data. Data controller: PatiSOS. Contact: info@patisos.app
1. DATA WE COLLECT
Account information: email (required), name and phone number (optional).
Location: approximate and precise location used to route your emergency SOS call to the nearest veterinarian, display nearby clinics on the map, and provide directions.
Photos: for pet cards, story sharing, and veterinary documents.
Pet information: species, age, vaccination, and health notes.
Content: comments, ratings, support requests, and the stories you share.
Notification token (push/FCM) and advertising identifier (for in-app ads).
We do not use usage tracking/analytics (e.g., Firebase Analytics) in the mobile app. For measurement on the website, see the Cookie Policy.
2. PURPOSES OF DATA USE
To provide the service, manage emergencies, enable appointments and communication, ensure safety and fraud prevention, and fulfill legal obligations.
3. DATA SHARING
Veterinarians: When you initiate an SOS, appointment, or on-site service, only the information necessary to provide the service (name, location/address, contact details, relevant pet information) is shared with the veterinarian concerned.
Service providers: Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, notifications), Google AdMob (advertising), Google Maps (maps), sign-in with Google/Apple.
We do not sell your data to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. RETENTION AND DELETION
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active and the service requires. You may request deletion through the in-app account deletion and data request flow or via info@patisos.app.
5. SECURITY
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS; access is restricted by server-side security rules.
6. YOUR RIGHTS
You have the rights to access, rectify, and delete your data, to restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. You may disable location and notification permissions from your device settings.
7. CHILDREN
PatiSOS is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
8. CHANGES
This policy may be updated; significant changes will be announced within the application.

Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your use of the PatiSOS mobile application. By using the application, you are deemed to have accepted these terms.
1. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE
PatiSOS is a connection and information platform that brings pet owners together with veterinarians. It offers emergency SOS, maps, appointments, on-site service, and community sharing.
2. IMPORTANT EMERGENCY NOTICE
PatiSOS is a connection platform; it DOES NOT REPLACE professional veterinary medicine or emergency intervention. There is no guarantee that a veterinarian will accept a call or arrive within a specific time. In a serious emergency, contact the nearest veterinary clinic directly.
3. USER OBLIGATIONS
You are obligated to provide accurate information, maintain the security of your account, comply with applicable laws, and not misuse the platform.
4. PROHIBITED USE
Misleading information, harassment, illegal content, infringement of others' rights, manipulation of the system, or disruption of the service is prohibited.
5. USER CONTENT
You are responsible for the stories, comments, and content you share. Inappropriate content is subject to moderation; it may be reported, hidden, or removed, and your account may be restricted.
6. ACCOUNT AND TERMINATION
Accounts that violate the terms may be suspended or closed. You may delete your account at any time.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The service is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, PatiSOS shall not be held liable for indirect or consequential damages.
8. CHANGES
These terms may be updated; continued use constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
9. GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.

Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern the service relationship between the PatiSOS platform and its users and veterinarians.
1. ROLE OF THE PLATFORM
PatiSOS is an intermediary platform that brings pet owners together with veterinarians. The relevant veterinarian is responsible for the content and quality of the veterinary services provided.
2. VETERINARIAN OBLIGATIONS
Veterinarians are obligated to provide accurate professional information, hold valid authorization/credentials, exercise due care for the calls and appointments they accept, and comply with applicable regulations. Unnecessary cancellation of an accepted emergency call may affect the trust score.
3. ACCOUNT VERIFICATION
Veterinarian accounts are subject to a verification/approval process before accepting patients.
4. FEES AND PREMIUM
Basic features are free. When premium subscriptions are offered, purchases are processed through the relevant app store (App Store / Google Play) and store rules apply.
5. CONTENT AND MODERATION
User content on the platform is subject to moderation. PatiSOS reserves the right to remove inappropriate content and to restrict accounts in the event of a violation of the rules.
6. LIABILITY
PatiSOS acts as an intermediary; it is not a party to the service relationship between the user and the veterinarian. Its liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
7. TERMINATION
PatiSOS may suspend or terminate accounts in the event of a violation of these terms.
8. GOVERNING LAW
The laws of the Republic of Türkiye apply.

KVKK Disclosure Statement
Pursuant to Art. 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), you are hereby informed by PatiSOS in its capacity as data controller within the scope of its disclosure obligation.

Identity and contact information (name, email, phone), location data, visual data (photos), pet health/vaccination information, transaction and usage records, device/notification identifiers.
3. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING
Providing the service, conducting emergency SOS and appointment processes, enabling user-veterinarian communication, ensuring security and preventing fraud, and fulfilling legal obligations.
4. LEGAL GROUNDS (Art. 5/6)
Establishment/performance of a contract, legal obligation, legitimate interest, and, where necessary, explicit consent.
5. RECIPIENTS OF TRANSFER
Relevant veterinarians as required by the service; domestic/international service providers for hosting and infrastructure (Google Firebase, Google AdMob, Google Maps) — with the necessary technical and administrative measures.
6. METHOD OF COLLECTION
Data is collected via the mobile application electronically through automated and partially automated means.
7. YOUR RIGHTS (Art. 11)
You have the rights to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information, to request its rectification/erasure, to object to the processing, and to demand compensation for damages. You may submit your requests via info@patisos.app.
GDPR Notice
This notice explains your rights under the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and how your data is processed.

5. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Data may be processed by service providers outside the EU (Google) with appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses).
6. RETENTION
Data is retained only for as long as necessary.
7. RIGHT TO LODGE A COMPLAINT
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority.

Explicit Consent Statement
Within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), I give my explicit consent to the processing and transfer of the following personal data of mine for the stated purposes:
MY LOCATION DATA: To the processing of my approximate and precise location for the purpose of routing my emergency SOS call to the nearest veterinarian, displaying nearby clinics on the map, and providing directions.
SHARING WITH THE VETERINARIAN: To the sharing of my name, contact details, location/address, and relevant pet information with the veterinarian concerned so that the SOS call, appointment, or on-site service request I have initiated can be fulfilled.
ADVERTISING IDENTIFIER: To the processing of my advertising identifier for the purpose of displaying in-app advertisements.
I understand that I may withdraw this consent at any time, that withdrawal will not have retroactive effect, and that some features may not function without consent. I may withdraw my consent via info@patisos.app.
I declare that I have read and understood this statement and that I approve it of my own free will.
Cookie Policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on the www.patisos.app website. The PatiSOS mobile app is outside its scope; the Privacy Policy section applies to the app.

Analytics cookies load only if you select Accept in the consent notice. If you decline, no request is sent to those services. The essential entry is required for the site to work and is not subject to consent.
4. Withdrawing consent and managing cookies
You may withdraw your consent at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. Your choice is deleted and you will be asked again on your next visit. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser; this does not prevent the site from working.
5. International transfers
Cookies set by analytics services may result in data being transferred to servers outside your country. Such transfer relies solely on your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 49(1)(a); Turkish KVKK Art. 9/1). If you do not consent, no transfer takes place.
6. No external resources
Every file on this site — fonts, images and scripts included — is served from our own server. The site sends no request to any content delivery network or third-party server.

2. Personal data processed and when it is collected
Newsletter form. When you leave your email address on the site, the following is recorded:

Transaction security data: your IP address and the time of sign-up
The page language and the section the sign-up came from
Server logs. When you visit the site, our hosting provider's server automatically records:

4. Legal bases
Newsletter sign-up: your consent — GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); KVKK Art. 5/1. Submitting the form constitutes consent.
Server logs and rate limiting: legitimate interests — GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); KVKK Art. 5/2-f. The legitimate interest is securing the site and preventing abuse.
Your personal data is collected electronically: directly from you through the form on the website, and automatically while you browse the site.
6. Recipients
Your data is stored on servers of our hosting provider Hostinger International Ltd. for the purpose of hosting the site; the servers are located in Almanya (Frankfurt). Newsletter entries are additionally sent by email to info@patisos.app. We do not sell, rent or transfer your data to third parties for marketing. Data may be shared with competent public authorities where required by law.
7. International transfers
Website data is held on servers located in Almanya (Frankfurt). Backups are stored in Fransa. As both locations are within the European Economic Area, there is no transfer to a third country for GDPR purposes. Because the controller is established in Türkiye, this storage constitutes a transfer abroad within the meaning of KVKK Art. 9. If you give cookie consent, usage statistics may be transferred to servers of the relevant measurement service located abroad. Such transfer relies solely on your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 49(1)(a); KVKK Art. 9/1). If you do not consent, no transfer takes place; withdrawing consent stops it.
8. Retention period
Your newsletter entry is kept for at most 24 months unless you ask to be removed sooner, and is deleted at the end of that period. If you ask to leave the list, your entry is deleted without undue delay. Server access logs are kept for the hosting provider's standard periods and deleted automatically.
9. Are you required to provide data
No. Completing the newsletter form is entirely optional and is not a condition of using the site or downloading the app. If you do not complete it, the only consequence is that you will not receive announcements.
10. Automated decision-making and profiling
No automated decision-making or profiling producing legal effects concerning you, or similarly significantly affecting you, is carried out using data collected through this website.

Under GDPR Articles 15–22 and KVKK Article 11 you have the following rights:

12. How to exercise your rights
Send your request to info@patisos.app. You may also submit it in writing to the address above, or to our registered e-mail (KEP) address where available, in accordance with the Turkish Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller. Your request is answered free of charge as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest.
13. Right to lodge a complaint
If your request is refused, the response is inadequate or no response is given in time, you may lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board within thirty days of learning the response and in any event within sixty days of your application (KVKK Art. 14). If you are in the European Union, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your country (GDPR Art. 77).
14. Children
This website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If we become aware that such data has been collected, we delete it without undue delay.
15. Changes
This notice may be updated to reflect changes in law or in how the site works. The current version is always published on this page, with its effective date shown below.

We take care to keep the site accurate and current, but do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for indirect loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the site. This does not affect your rights under consumer law, nor liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
6. Links
The site may link to third-party addresses such as app stores and social media. The site operator is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those addresses.
7. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts and enforcement offices of Türkiye have jurisdiction. Consumers resident in the European Union retain the rights afforded by the mandatory consumer law of their country.
